Netbooks
Netbooks arent exactly the most popular devices on the market, but they do serve a purpose that, until recently nothing else could. That purpose is mobile computing, and I know that with a smartphone or a tablet you can do many of the things you need to on the move, but its not the same as having a fully featured computer, albeit on a smaller scale.
Even though they dont have but a fraction of the power that a desktop or even a laptop has, they still have enough power to run the programs that most people use. In the last few years tablets have grown in popularity, and in functionality but they still lack features that some people cant live without, such as a keyboard. For that reason a small (relatively) number of people use them when they are not at home, not minding the small screens or lack of power, instead looking on the bright side of things, like the fact that they can fit them in a briefcase or backpack.
I myself use a netbook as my primary computer and love that I can take it with me almost anywhere. Some of them even have tablet-like functionality such as touch screens or screens that rotate or flip, giving the device a tablet-like look and feel. These features and the overall versatility of the devices, as well as the usual ease with which you can upgrade them, make netbooks a compelling choice for people who travel or work. Now that Ive bored you to death with my speech about features and functionality, I would like to say what I plan to cover in this section. I will try to cover any devices that I believe are worthy of notice, listing their apparent strengths and weaknesses, as well as any tips that I have.
