Netbook Games

Netbook Games are generally older mainstream games, that have been re-released for a Netbook. The reason for this is that older games have lesser system requirements, and as such can run on a Netbook, which usually has weaker hardware, and a slower graphics card then is required for most new games.

Because they are usually older games, they also usually have worse graphics, but sometimes it doesn't matter, such as with a puzzle game. It does matter with a First Person Shooter (FPS), and sometimes with a Real Time Stratgy (RTS). Good RTS games for a Netbook include Age of Empires II, and Warcraft III, both of which look as good as they can on a Netbook.

Other good games include Minecraft (not old, even though it looks it), the original Fate, and a good FPS is the first Portal, which was one of the best games of its time. I use a Netbook for my primary computer, and I like to play AOE II, and Torchlight, and it runs pretty well, although Torchlight is a little slow sometimes, even though it has a Netbook mode. Even so it is good enough for casual gamers, as well as retro gamers, or anyone who can't afford a big gaming rig, or a console.

I don't know all of the games that will run on a Netbook, so please help me out by using my Contact Form, or by using the form on my Contribute page, both of which are listed on the Navbar on the left. I would appreciate any suggestions, or ideas that you might have, as well as any feedback on my reviews.
